Unique Country Vacation Design Huckleberry

December 8, 2022

Clean horizontal siding with shingles adorning the gable end and slim columns that frame the front covered porch. The street view gives the first glance at one of the Huckleberry’s unique features, the large, covered patio with ample space for a large patio furniture set and even a gas fire table or feature.

Inside the entry is slender with a coat closet a few steps in. From the entry, a hall leading to the right provides access to the main floor laundry room and attached one car garage. A few steps down the entry hall to the left another short hallway leads to a full bathroom, the step-in pantry, and the only main floor bedroom.

The back of the first floor is filled with the great room. Soaring two-story ceilings grace the gathering space which also boasts a cozy wood stove. The kitchen is separated by an island that features an eating bar. The back wall of the great room is filled with large windows ideal for capturing stunning rural views or coastal landscapes. Off the kitchen is a screened porch for when weather or bugs require additional shelter not afforded by the large, covered patio.

Upstairs, a balcony overlooks the great room. The second floor includes two additional bedrooms separated by a full bathroom. Over the garage is an unfinished storage room which could be finished and used as a hobby room or whatever else suits.

Those who enjoy simple living will appreciate the open and informal floor plan of the Huckleberry. Opportunities to enjoy the outdoors abound and when the cold winter days roll around the window rich great room affords the ability to continue to enjoy the natural surroundings while staying cozy.
